My Trip to Kenya

Thank you everyone for supporting me on my trip to Kenya. It was incredible.

While I was there, I visited my schools in Kakamega and Bungoma. The children were very happy with their schools. They danced and sang in honor of me and all the donations that had helped them get their schools.

We spent most of our time with Brother Patrick and Brother Charles. They were very outgoing and casual people who worked so hard to make sure that the children at Stefan's Wing at St. Gonzaga, and St. Stephen School, have all the supplies they need as well as dedicated teachers.

While I was in Kenya, I also went on a safari, where we saw lions, zebras, a leopard, and hippos as well as many other animals. Kenya is very different than California. There are a lot of little differences. For example, in Kenya the ginger ale is called "Stoney Tangawizi" and is a lot spicier than the ginger ale here. We drank a lot of Stoney Tangawizi in Kenya!

We also did a few other fun things, such as rode a camel on the beach, and took a ride on a very old train across southern Kenya.

I learned that Kenyan children have a huge need for education. This fall my goal is to encourage people to continue their donations so that we can finish the St. Stephen School and hopefully raise enough money to bring solar power there as well.
